The name may not sound familiar to the current generation folks but to those who are into literature and origins of comedy in Telugu cinema, this name is a stalwart. We are talking about Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy. He happens to be a very popular writer who has come up with many thrillers and comedy stories.

Some of his works got adapted into cinema and notable among them are ‘Chantabbai’ featuring megastar Chiranjeevi, ‘Rendu Rellu Aaru’ which came in 1986, ‘Golmaal Govindam’ ‘Theneteega’ featuring Nata Kireeti Rajendra Prasad and many others. Now, a new story by Venkata Krishna Murthy is coming in the form of a film.

It is ‘Achari America Yatra’ featuring dynamic star Manchu Vishnu and Hasya Nata Brahma Brahmanandam. After a long time Malladi is doing it and given the long list of great comedies he has done since many years, the expectations are high on this one too. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres this summer.
