Since the last few years, a new trend has emerged among them, women who are into organizations and harp a lot about equal rights and what not. They tend to take every opportunity to come into media spotlight because it brings them mileage and some satisfaction that their voices are being heard but here comes the twist.
It is heard that recently some women associations were approached by the Tollywood folks with a request. They were asked to come and speak in support of actresses and against a TV news anchor who made few lewd statements generalizing all the starlets. Much to their surprise, the reply received shook them badly.
Well, sources say the women association said “No, you cine folks deserve this.” and refused to oblige. That way, it is clear that the outside women associations don’t have respect for film industry ladies. This alarming split is there between the women of these two segments which is not a good sign.
