Described as a 'silent thriller', this movie is being bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj's home banner Stone Bench Films. Mercury is termed as a 'NO LANGUAGE' movie, as the audience are to experience the horror and thrill without any need of language medium.
The teaser opens with an ignored warning board which says 'WARNING: No Trespassing". Going further, there is an abandoned building on which it is inscribed "In the memory of 84 people who died in this down due to 'mercury' poisoning". A group of people who trespass are subject to some threat in that abandoned building.
National Award-winning cinematographer Tirru is in charge of the camera, while Santhosh Narayanan composes the music. This special thriller is slated for a release on April 13th.
