When we speak about remunerations it is always about the film stars and the heroines but in the last decade and a half, even the directors have attained star status and they are charging a bomb. Incidentally, whenever a big hero film is on the anvil, more than half of the film’s budget goes for the remuneration of the hero and director.
Going further on this, a discussion is making rounds on who are the top expensive directors in Tollywood. The first place needs no thinking because it has been taken by the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli since long. Buzz is that he took a whopping 40 crores as a fee for both editions of the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’.
The analysis now is about the second place and it is being said that Mass Ustad Boyapati Sreenu is the man. Apparently, Boyapati’s track record is excellent and for his next movie with mega power star Ram Charan, it is heard that producer Danayya has paid him 15 crores gross. If this is true Boyapati has reached a different league then.
