Anushka Shetty's Bhaagmathie hit the screens on 26th January. Even with a mediocre pre-release talk, this movie bagged decent openings at the box-office. As soon as the movie hit the theaters, it got a huge buzz by the talk of mouth.
Collecting the gross worth Rs 12 crore from its Telugu version alone, Bhaagmathie is the only movie in Telugu with huge collections in the year 2018. Bhaagmathie stands as the second biggest opening for Anushka after Rudhramadevi, which grossed around Rs 12.5 crore on the first day.
Touted to be a horror-thriller this movie has done a colossal business in the US where it has already crossed half million mark. As per Bollywood trade analyst, the movie Bhaagmathie collected 3.44 Crore in the US (Saturday collections).
Directed by G Ashok, this movie is a woman-centric one. Anushka is to be given the highest credit for this huge success. It is about her charm and screen presence that the audience is talking about. Anushka Shetty is termed as the 'Lady Super Star'of Tollywood for a reason. Of course, SS Thaman's music is a huge plus for the movie Bhaagmathie.
