Though it is a bit delayed it is happening. From many decades Tamil stars have forayed into the Telugu market and today they have strong bases here. Right from big names like Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan to the current generation heroes like Suriya, Karthi and even Vijay Antony, all have good fan following in Telugu.
However, that has not been the case with the Tollywood heroes and it is only since the last three or four years the real efforts of setting foot in Kollywood is happening. This time, mega powerstar Ram Charan seems to have decided upon giving it an authentic push and he has set a strong ground for a bilingual entry.
This is through his new movie Rangasthalam. The initial set of promos has revealed his look is more like a Tamil hero and even his characterization is quite earthly. Reports reveal from here on Cherry will release his film in both languages with stories that appeal to both Telugu and Tamil audience. The final touch is, he speaks very fluent Tamil so Rangasthalam seems to be setting the stage.
