For many years controversies were part and parcel for the lives of the film industry personnel but today even the very product itself is getting dragged into unwanted issues. Every other movie which has an unconventional approach is being targeted by many groups and each one has their own motives and goals behind targeting it.
Currently two products are facing this situation. They are the Bollywood movie Padmaavat and the video ‘God, Sex and Truth’ helmed by the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma. While both are under fire for different reason, there is an irony which will make you smirk. As such the protests for Padmaavat revolve around a woman’s physical chastity and how that is more important than life.
On the other hand ‘GST’ is all about advocating physical chastity is just an illusion and body has its own freedom to do what it wants. The irony is, both these products are not finding acceptance in our great country and protests are happening in a big way. This only goes to show how many in India have free time and minute wisdom to figure out what needs a protest.
