Given the demand, those who have scored success in one language are charging a premium when it comes to giving their rights to other languages.
Most of the times the Tollywood folks are keen to bring in movies from Kollywood. And if the script has an universal appeal, they target the remake rights. Currently, one Tamil movie has become a hot cake. It is titled as ‘Aruvi’ and this thriller flick has Aditi Balan as the leading lady. The film has now released on ‘Amazon Prime’.
This is being seen as one of the smartest hits among the recent releases in Tamil Nadu. It was made with 1 crore budget and it made 7 crores at the Box Office. Now, for the Telugu rights the producer is reportedly asking a whopping 1.5 crores. It remains to be seen whether the deal has gone through but sources say this is an offbeat flick which focuses on a girl.
