As heartbreaking as it may seem the fact remains that the much talked about and long awaited movie ‘Agnyatavasi’ has been officially declared a disaster by the trade circles. Despite the harrowing experiences revealed by the audience after watching the film, the external factors are contributing somewhat to the film’s coffers.
As per the latest report, ‘Agnyatavasi’ has managed to touch the 50 crores mark in just 5 days. While this sounds fabulous, it is of no use considering the budget it has been made with. Well, the makers have splurged generously and sold the worldwide theatrical rights to a mind-boggling Rs 160 crores. Recovering that is not a joke.
Coming back to the numbers, the two Telugu states are reporting a share of Rs 34.90 crores while the neighboring Karnataka has contributed Rs 6.02 crores share. The overseas box office has clocked Rs 6.93 crores share and the ROI+ROW has provided the remaining Rs 2.25 crores. Agnyatavasi will have its final breath till Tuesday due to holidays and the downfall will commence after that.
