After movies like Arjun Reddy and Fidaa started ringing at the cash centers, there was a hope that the small and medium budget movies are going to increase their ratio of success at the box office but it appears that the graph has been dipping alarmingly. The reason we say this is after having a look at this week’s box office report.
A total of dozen movies hit the screens last Friday and not even one in them has sustained a good talk or proper collections. Among the entire lot, Balakrishnudu featuring the variety hero with baritone voice Nara Rohith has managed to get decent openings but it also saw a dip eventually. Mental Madhilo had good pre release talk but in vain. Nepoleon which got a decent buzz pre-release also failed to grab the attention of the viewers.
As for the other movies, most of them don’t even remember the titles and have no clue which theatres they have come. Amidst all this bad performance one film is only keeping its head high. It is Khakee featuring the sharp eyed Tamil star Karthi and the sweet Punjabi lassi Rakul Preet Singh. Let us wish things change the next Monday.
