Story:
Karthi (Aadi) is a young man who is going through a tough phase in life due to many financial debts. That’s when he discovers that his late father (Posani) had a resort near his village which is closed. Karthi decides to reopen it and resolve his problems. However, the problems double as some strange things keep happening inside the resort. Karthi and his group of friends (Vaibhavi, Rashmi, Brahmaji) are stuck with a ghost and whether they come out of it safely or not forms the rest.
Roles & Performances:
Aadi did his best to bring life into his character but poor etching has dropped his graph. This is not a countable movie for his career. Vaibhavi was good looking but nothing much in terms of performance.
Rashmi has a seductive role and she was hot enough. Brahmaji’s role reminded of Saptagiri in Prema Katha Chatram. Raghu Babu did the role called RGV which is that of a modern ghostbuster, even that didn’t work.
TV artist Himaja did the role of the ghost, she has given a splendor performance and looks erotic. Brahmaji fullfilled the entertainment part in the movie with his comedy timing.
Analysis:
This is the debut of ETV Prabhakar as the director and it must be said that he has done a shoddy job. The film is the remake of the Tamil hit Yamirukka Bhayame and those who have seen the original can say a lot of it has been changed in the remake version. It is clear that Prabhakar did not work on the storyline and connecting the loose ends properly. The original flavor got spoiled and creating a fear factor didn’t work at all. The comedy also was insipid and overall it was a futile attempt because few scenes lacked logic and few scenes ended without any conclusion.
Technical Values
The songs were not upto the mark and only the first song was good. The background score was weak and the cinematography was average. Editing could have been better. Art department was apt and costumes were neat. The production values were just about okay.
Plus Points:
+ Performances
Minus Points
- Weak Story
- Dragged Narration
