After a long time, Director Teja has come up with his new venture Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Starring Daggupati Rana and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, Nene Raju Nene Mantri is touted to be a political drama. Here is the review of this movie. Read on.

With mounted praises, Rana is the most-celebrated villain better known as 'Bhallaladeva' now. Rana in this movie has portrayed a similar role with some negative shades as well. Kajal Agarwal was introduced to Tollywood with the movie Lakshmi Kalyanam which was directed by Teja. She became a star heroine later and it is after years that she has acted under Teja's direction again.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri Story Line:

The trailers and teasers created a huge hype and anticipated for Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Rana in the role of Jogendra is seen as a young man who aspires to become a politician. The role is typically portrayed in a way that it also has negative shades. His activities in the politics and how his wife Radha(Kajal Agarwal) supports him is the crux of the story.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri Roles and Performances:

Rana has been shining in contrasting roles ever since he set his feet in the film industry. His role 'Bhallaladeva' in the epic movie Baahubali has set some new standards for villainism. So, there is nothing new to describe Rana's acting skills and his performance. He has given his best in the role of Jogendra in this political drama. One can say the role of Jogendra is tailor-made for Rana.

Kajal Aggarwal is seen in a very homely, yet attractive role. Her elegance in the role of Radha is irreplaceable. The chemistry between Kajal and Rana is one of the biggest reasons to watch this movie.

Catherine Tresa is seen in a glamorous role in Nene Raju Nene Mantri movie. Tanikella Bharani, Pradip Ravath, Navadeep etc justified their roles well.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri Analysis:

There are some sequences which are designed in a very cinematic pattern. The story narration definitely reminds us of the current political situations every now and then. The second half of the movie is a little irrelevant to the reality and hence the audience might lose interest. A political drama with a romantic touch and that is what Nene Raju Nene Mantri is all about.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri Technical Aspects:

Teja's movies are famous for the dialogues. The audience generally gets connected to the dialogues in the movies from the political genres. So, dialogues are well executed in a way that the audience will get connected.

Anup Rubens has given a decent album for this movie. All the songs are well-composed and the back score is also okay. The cinematography is good and the production values are also fine.  Though the movie Nene Raju Nene Mantri reminds us of Mohan Babu's old movie M. Dharmaraju M.A., it has its own twists and turns.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri Verdict: Once watchable.
