Shamanthakamani Story:
Krishna (Sudheer Babu), Shiva (Sundeep Kishan), Karthik ( Aadhi) and a Car Mechanic ( Rajendra Prasad) attend a party at a pub. Krishna is a rich guy of all these and he realises that his Rolls Royce vintage car valued 5-crore rupees is stolen on the same day during the party. C.I. Ranjith (Nara Rohit) was asked to investigate the police case. The rest of the film's plot is how all of them come to a conclusion regarding the car theft.
Shamanthakamani Performances:
The film stars four young heroes in the film industry. Aadi Saikumar, Sundeep Kishan, Nara Rohith and Sudheer Babu are the four young heroes in the film industry who have come up to be a part of the film. All the four heroes have their own mark in performance and they did a good job.
Rajendra Prasad also played a crucial role in the film. All these actors have their own screen space to entertain the audiences. The female leads Chandini Chowdary and Jenny Honey are also good in their short roles. The casting department has worked hard and the actors made their presence felt.
Shamanthakamani Analysis:
The film's first half and the second half has the content division happened in equal parts. The first half of the film has the premise that is set for the second half of the film. The first half of the film focuses more on the casting, the characterisations and the introduction of each and every one. There were an interesting backdrop and story for the introduction of every single character in the movie. This is really a highlight as there are many interesting sequences that are a part of the story while setting up the premise for the second half. If we look at it in terms of the content, the first half has nothing much in terms of the story.
The film starts with an interesting point of the car theft and the interval point comes back and stops at the same point. The way the first half was narrated is interesting. The flash back episode triggers the most in the first half. While the first half of the film reveals the story behind the car and its theft, the second half is all about reaching back to the car. This is how the film is working on! But the pace of interest that the sequences are generating in the film is not getting down even at a single point of the movie which is an added advantage.
At the end of the second half, all we can feel is that the film has a good story that could thrill us in whatever way it can but then, an engaging narration is completely missing with the flow. There is not much to discuss in the film except the theft and chasing the person behind the theft. Both the aspects are thin and do not give a good scope for the narration or the story telling. Sriram Adithya is an expert in dealing with such thin lines and he already proved us with the same in his first film Bhale Manchi Roju. Coming to the performances, everyone gave their best to make the film an engaging watch.
In terms of the technical aspects, the film is certainly the best. The cinematography of Sameer Reddy is very much impressive. The editing is okay. Though Mani Sharma failed to impress with the songs and he impressed with the background score. Mani Sharma's BGM is too good. The production values of Bhavya Creations are grand. Anand Prasad did his job pretty well.
Shamantahakamani Plus Points:
+ Lead Actors & Their Performances
+ Cinematography
+ BGM
Shamanthakamani Minus Points:
- No Engaging Narration
- Thin Story Line
Shamanthakamani Verdict:
Shamanthakamani is a film that has a thin story line but the performances add a lot of strength to the subject and make it worth watching once!
