Among the many discussions that are happening regarding the magnum opus Baahubali, an important topic was also about the casting. Well, it is heard that Athiloka Sundari Sridevi was the first choice for the role of Sivagami essayed by Ramya Krishnan.
If that were true, fact remains it is not sure whether Sridevi could have created that impact the way Ramya did with her voice and sternness. And if her voice got dubbed, it will not work. Another talk was about Hrithik being approached for the role of Prabhas but he has already done Jodhaa Akbar so novelty is missing.
It is also heard that they thought of Akshay Kumar or John Abraham for Bhallaladeva’s character. And here is the final touch, though these were all considered as speculations it is not so. Producer Shobu made it clear that they thought of Prabhas and Rana at the first instant and finalized them only.
