We have reached the mid of March which means we are also nearing the completion of the first quarter of 2017. Given that, some senior members of Tollywood have begun working on how the business has been so far. The results seem to be quite mixed.

The year took off very well with January producing two big hits in the form of Gautamiputra Satakarni, Khaidi No 150 and the momentum continued a bit in the month of February with movies like Nenu Local, Shatamanam Bhavati doing well at the box office.

However, promising movies like Winner, Om Namo Venkatesaya ended up as soar performers at the box office. March has not started on a great note because most of the releases are struggling but things will change in April when the big star movies arrive and so does the summer season.
