Being yourself is one thing but behaving in the right way at a public place is more important. This is something many Indians lack and the best examples can be found when you go to watch a movie in theatre, including the posh multiplexes.
There are those imbeciles who talk to each other loudly as if at home when the movie is running. And then there are those who speak on the phone as if nobody is around. Akin to that, the new rule of standing to National Anthem is also seeing few skirmishes.
Recently, an old man got slapped by the person in next seat for not standing to the National Anthem. While the emotion is understood, it doesn’t mean you resort to such things. You should not take it personally and behave in a matured manner. Make a note folks!
