There was a time when you could just cool your heels the moment your film touches the theatres because solo releases were high. But now, you need to compete with other releases and vie for a good release. At the end of the day, good content prevails with the audience.
Last Friday saw the arrival of quite a few movies and going by the latest reports of collections, the film Vangaveeti helmed by the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma has emerged as the winner of the week. The film opened to good response and its collections are steady in Andhra and Ceded.
On the other hand, the Vishal-Tamannaah starrer Okkadochadu got a lukewarm response while Saptagiri Express failed to click. The small budget flick Pittagoda got decent reviews but it appears to be a slow starter. Let us wait to see how long will Vangaveeti sustain this strength.
