Gali Janardhan Reddy's daughter Brahmani Reddy wedding was one of the most talked about big fat (indeed very fat) weddings in recent times.
The wedding was performed on 35 acres of land at the famous Bangalore Palace grounds and the wedding guests were commuted in bullock carts to the main venue. DBrahmani Reddy wedding budget is touted to be over Rs 100Cr. However, Gali's family claimed that the budget is just Rs 30Crore! Especially in the wake of the current demonetization exercise and cash crunch scenario, Gali's expenditure is under the scanner of the Income Tax department now.
As per the latest report, IT department is probing into the wedding expenditure and all the related transactions. In connection to this, the department is likely to serve legal notices soon to all celebrities (Film celebrities included) who allegedly received remuneration for their participation in the wedding event.
Rakul Preet, comedian Brahmanandam, Tamannaah, Saikumar et al were the ones who performed at the wedding event besides other film and political celebrities. We need to wait for IT department's next move in this issue.
