On the eve of ongoing violence against Tamilians regarding the Cauvery river issue in Bengaluru, the entire Tamil Nadu state is observing bundh today. The universal hero Kamal Hassan finally responded on the issue saying that it is indeed sad to see disputes happen on a prestigious river which has been flowing since times immemorial.
He said that it is a shameful incident for all of us for what has been happening via his Twitter account. The Kollywood fraternity has offered its hand in support for the bundh by stopping all the shootings today. Movie screenings all over Tamil Nadu are also halted as a part of this bundh.
Meanwhile, the police has been offering special protection to Kollywood actors who have Karnataka roots such as Rajnikanth, Prabhu Deva and Ramesh Arvind. The scene in Bangalore is still quite tense and we will have to wait and see how it gets better soon.
