The actor re-discovered himself from the regular cool hero image who is reserved to an exuberant comedian in Trivikram’s Khaleja which went to great level with Dookudu. The audience warmly welcomed this new change in the star and with Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, he became an ideal family hero and acted brilliantly along with Venkatesh. Mahesh continued his stint with another brilliant film Srimanthudu which focused on village adoption schemes. He also turned a producer which fetched him great returns for this film.
Though his latest offering Brahmtosavam bombed at the Box Office, the unnerved actor now teamed up with AR Muragadoss for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual project.
