Among the 24 crafts of cinema, the toughest and riskiest line is that of a producer. You might feel it is where the money is but it is also the place where you burn your hands to the fullest without recovery. Despite that, it is the mere passion towards the art that makes many to take the plunge.
One such person is producer Raj Kandukuri and his banner is called Dharmapatha Creations. Many years ago, he made the film Gautam Buddha in Hindi, Telugu, Sinhala. It got the prestigious Nandi Award. The next project was My Heart Is beating Adola which was shot entirely in USA.
Then he became the director and producer for the movie Gola Seenu. Later on, he was the co-producer for Arvind 2, Ladies & Gentlemen and distributor for Hrudaya Kaleyam. He was also the producer for Nayaki and Pelli Choopulu.
Though he was part of many projects, he didn’t see big money in all the movies except Pelli Choopulu. And now he has got into profit zone due to Pelli Choopulu and made up for all the losses. Point is, by giving time to industry out of passion he got successful. Money is not the only thing here, fame also matters. Raj Kandukuri was continuously doing movies and today the team of Pelli Choopulu is thanking him profusely for giving them the break.
