You would have noticed a peculiar trend in the cine circuit after the arrival of the magnum opus Baahubali. Filmmakers from different cine circuits are bent upon coming up with movies which are larger than Baahubali budget and they want to bring it in a much bigger canvas.
The idea is simple, they want to beat Baahubali and create a record. But there are certain parameters for a movie to score success to the range of Baahubali and budget is definitely not one of them. For instance, Shankar is making Robo 2.0 with nearly 250 cr budget.
Now, Tamil director C Sundar is coming up with a new project named Sanghamitra with a budget of more than 350 crores. Point is, can these budgets really beat Baahubali? What needs to be focused upon is the content and ensuring the film reaches the maximum penetration among the crowds. Hope the directors are making note of that as well.
