Superstar Rajnikanth’s Kabali movie is on its way in creating records in box-office collections in spite of the mixed reviews. Kabali movie opened to earth-shattering collections of about Rs 47 crores worldwide on the first day. Well latest update from trade sources is that Kabali movie experienced a dip in the occupancy and collections on the second day due to the divided and predominant “flop talk”.
However, with about Rs 15 Cr in Tamil Nadu, Rs 7 Cr in AP & TS, Rs 4 Cr in Karnataka, Rs 2 Cr in Kerala and Rs 7 Cr from rest of India, Kabali movie collected Rs 35 Cr (Gross) & Rs 84 Cr (Gross) worldwide on the second day zooming close to the prestigious Rs 100Cr club in two days. Trade pundits predict that it is indeed cake walk for this Rajinikanth film to cross Rs 100Crores this Sunday.
Kabali movie already made a pre-release business of Rs 200Cr and interestingly the production cost for the film was just Rs 15 Cr. The support of Rajnikanth fans in Malaysia made the production and hospitability easy for the makers and hence the less expenditure.
