3 days to go for Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali movie release (July 22). His fans worldwide are eagerly waiting for the film and we are hearing great things about the advance bookings! (Advance bookings in about 400 screens across the US were closed within just 2hrs of opening)
However, Kabali Telugu release is stuck with new headaches. Distributor Krishna Prasad Chowdary who owned the distribution rights of Kabali (Telugu) have issued a paper ad of release which was allegedly withheld by Telugu Distribution Council member Ramdas. Krishna Prasad openly questioned the coerced suspension of his paper ad and accused that Ramdas demanded over Rs 3crore deposit for a clearance. On the other hand, Ramdas lashed down the allegations upon him.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s Vikramasimha has incurred about Rs 7Cr loss for the local distributors which was reportedly not compensated yet. And clearing Kabali release now without doing justice to the lost distributors is also a matter of concern. Now industry onlookers opine that this might be one of the reasons behind the friction between Kabali distributors and Distributors Council. Hope they will be resolved at the earliest and we will get to watch Kabali on the release day itself (July 22).
