“Lovely Rockstar” Aadi could gain the acceptance of Telugu people but he is yet to register a solid hit at the box-office. He is currently at low ebb with series of flops like Gaalipatam, Rough & Garam.
Well Aadi’s forthcoming wholesome entertainer Chuttalabbayi is gearing up for release on the 22nd of this July. This commercial entertainer is directed by Veerabhadaram (of Poola Rangadu fame) and produced by Venkat Talari under Aishwarya Lakshmi movies banner. Namitha Pramod is making her debut in Telugu cinema with this film.
However Aadi and his producers have a new tension to deal with. Going into the details, Chuttalabbaayi’s budget (initially planned around Rs 3crore) has apparently inflated (to above Rs 9crore) which is bothering the makers now. Given Aadi’s current market, Chuttalabbayi film needs to earn a super hit-blockbuster talk to recover the investment. Moreover, Allu Sirish’s Srirastu Subhamastu is likely to release on the same day and Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali release is around the corner (tentatively Aug 1).
All these factors leave Chuttalabbayi movie with a fat chance to win the league. So let us see how far this film can live up to the expectations of the makers and fans!
