The versatile filmmaker Shankar is currently busy making the anticipated sequel Robo 2 with Superstar Rajnikanth. This film will feature Action hero Akshay Kumar as the antagonist for the first time ever opposite the Superstar. The British beauty Amy Jackson will be seen as the female lead opposite Rajni.
Already 50% of the shooting has been completed and the makers wanted to release it in Summer 2017. But because of huge effort required for visual effects, the post production work might take longer than expected. As a result, the makers have pushed the release to Diwali 2017.
Another biggest reason behind this postponement is to avoid clash with another biggest release Baahubali: The Conclusion which would be releasing in April 2017.
