You would not be surprised when you hear that a major percentage of Indian cinema tends to find its inspiration from Hollywood. However, we are sure you would be surprised when we say that another industry has overtaken Hollywood in inspiring us. But then, that is the situation right now.
The backbone for Indian cinema is always Bollywood and in the recent past, a significant number of movies that released found their roots in Korean flicks. Yes, the likes of Murder 2, Ek Villain Te3n, Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani, Jazbaa, Zinda, Rocky Handsome and many others are Korean inspirations.
However, there is also another reality. The majority of these inspirations have actually tanked at the box office. Fact remains that while Korean movies are more hardcore with grim violence and reality, Indian interpretations are blended with extra dose of emotions and sentiment.
