Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan was actively promoting his forthcoming release Sultan when he accidentally landed up in a fresh controversy.
We know he has compared himself to a “raped woman” while explaining his hardwork during the shoot of Sultan. This statement hasn’t gone well with the National Commission for Women whose Chairperson Lalitha Kumaramangalam demanded an apology from Salman Khan over his statement. The commission gave Salman a week time to respond in case of failure, he will have to visit the council and explain.
However popular writer Salim Khan (father of Salman Khan) apologized on Salman’s behalf -
"To err is human, to forgive divine. Today, on International Yoga Day, let's not run our shops on this mistake. Nevertheless, I apologise on behalf of him. Forgiveness is to pardon the unpardonable or it is no virtue at all. Undoubtedly, what Salman said is wrong, the metaphor, example and the context. The intention was not wrong."
Lets us wait and see if this apology from Salim Khan satisfies the offended!
