There was a time when cinema was all about expression of creative freedom and as part of that, even few communities were mocked with their surnames. All that was done in a lighter vein and audience also took it sportively. But lately, few groups with crooked minds have begun to cash in on situations.
They are just waiting for a movie to make one small joke about a community and immediately they will raise a red flag citing their ‘Manobhavalu’ are hurt. This has actually become a major pain to the filmmakers. However, they have no choice but to just bow down to the pressure of some group.
The latest in that list is the makers of the movie A…Aa wherein they had to mute the word of a particular community because it is the name of a particular character. Though nothing negative was shown, some idle brains from that community started making a lot of fuss about it. Sad but true!
