The trend of yesteryear heroes turning to character actors has been in vogue thanks to actors like Jagapathi Babu following it. The actor realized the faltering market for him as a hero and immediately shifted gears to become a fierce antagonist in Balakrishna’s Legend which has become a great hit. Right from then, the actor was flocked with opportunities.
Now another of his contemporaries is following the same path and he is none other than yesteryear angry young man Rajasekhar. Unlike Jagapathi Babu, Rajasekhar couldn’t accept his faltering market as a lead hero and the tough competition from younger lot. The actor did get a chance to act as an antagonist in Teja’s Aham but due to the mutual differences, it was called off. Now, the actor got another golde opportunity to act as villain in Gopichand’s upcoming film directed by Srivass.
