Popular veteran director AC Tirulokchandar is no more.
Going into the details, AC Tirulokchandar (86) breathed his last this June 15th evening at Chennai due to age related health issues. He directed many successful films in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi languages and is quite popular for his films like Naadi Aadajanme (1965), Ave Kallu (1967) and Ramu (1968). He was the one who introduced Maestro Ilaiyaraaja in Telugu with his film Bhadrakali (1976). Tirulokchandar’s Deiva Magan (1969) was the first Tamil film to be submitted by India for the Oscars in the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film category.
