The law of karma states ‘What Goes Around Comes Around’ and if you think it applies only to human destiny and fate then it may not be so. Even cinema industry is one place where things do come around after a while. Currently, it appears that the era of 1970s is going to come in 2020.
Apparently, during the 70s, the great N T Rama Rao came up with ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’ and around same time superstar Krishna came up with Kurukshetram. Both are heavy budget movies during that time. Even Sampoorna Ramayanam came around that time.
Point is, the 70s saw a barrage of big budget mythological and period movies and now the same situation might come in 2020. Rajamouli’s dream project is Mahabharatam and even Dasari Narayana Rao wants to make Mahabharatam. Even Prabhu Deva expressed something similar. All this has come up post ‘Bahubali’ and the effect is being seen now.
