The smart methodology of picking up hit movies from neighbouring cine circuits and remaking or dubbing them has risen strongly in the Tollywood circuit. In fact, the filmnagar folks are the first in grabbing the rights of a successful film and they are constantly on the lookout for such projects.
This time, their attention has shifted towards a Marathi movie. It is titled as Sairat and reports from Maharashtra reveal the film was made at a budget of Rs 4 crores but currently it is on its way to breach the Rs 100 crore club mark. This is history in the making in Marathi cine circuit.
The film has fresh faces as the lead pair and it is directed and produced by Nagraj Manjule. Buzz is that he is already flooded with offers from different languages for selling the remake rights and in that, the Tollywood folks stand first.
