Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh & Mahesh’s Brahmotsavam were the most anticipated films this year and eventually they turned out to be the biggest disappointers as well. However, the comparison between both the films and their box-office performance remains to be inevitable.
Both Brahmotsavam and SGS were trolled through out but box-office reports state that Brahmotsavam was a poor performer than SGS. Brahmotsavam has already missed the first day opening (Non-Baahubali) record set by Sardaar and now obviously, the first week collections are also displeasing for Brahmotsavam team & Mahesh fans.
Going into the details, Sardaar collected over Rs 83crore (gross) and Rs 52 crore (share) in its first week while Brahmotsavam has recorded Rs 51.70Cr (gross) & Rs 36.88Cr (share) worldwide. Adding to that, Brahmotsavam movie is being replaced by other films in some of the areas due to poor occupancy.
Though the film team is trying to move on with the result, fans couldn’t digest this yet. Especially ‘Mahesh fans vs Pawan fans’ has only turned murkier with this. Let us see if the Powerstar and Superstar can gift super hits next time – the clash of the Titans is always interesting!
