Recently Tamil Superstar Vijay’s Theri (dubbed into Telugu as Police) that released through Dil Raju’s banner not just bombed at the box-office but brought him new headaches. Going into the details, Theri’s producer Kalaipuli S Thanu sought Dil Raju’s support and image in publicizing and releasing the film in Telugu using his upcoming production Rajinikanth’s Kabali as a bait. But Dil Raju who did not want to lose his image for an unworthy film hasn’t shown much interest in publicizing Police movie. He just passed off the ball with namesake promotional activity.
This has apparently irked producer Thanu who is now reluctant to give his Kabali’s distribution rights to Dil Raju, according to latest reports. The Tamil producer is quoting relatively higher price for Dil Raju and is keen upon going ahead with other distributors and since it is Rajini’s film, no one would want to miss it.
Well, Dil Raju is a smart distributor before he is a good producer and he knows this showbiz business better than many. Let us see how will he counter the Tamil producer and bounce back into the game!
