Going into the details, renowned South Indian director Murugadoss has struck gold in Bollywood with his blockbuster debut film Ghajini. His second consecutive hit was Holiday (the remake of his Tamil film Thupakki) which brought him many crazy offers. But this supremely talented director chose to make an action thriller titled Akira with none other than Sonakshi Sinha in the lead

Meanwhile, Murugadoss is simultaneously engaged in the pre-production activity of his upcoming bilingual magnum opus with Mahesh Babu in the lead. But close sources reveal that Mahesh needs to wait for a while as Akira will have to hit the screens on Sep 23. The release date has been officially locked and Murugadoss is wrapping up things accordingly.
