Telugu Film Songs earned a classiest and sensitive honor thanks to the wonderful lyrics by Acharya Athreya- who is also fondly called Manasu Kavi by song lovers. Now, his wife Smt. Padmavati died of health issues at age 89 in her hometown Taadepalligudem, West Godavari district.
Padmavati married Athreya at the age of 13 years despite knowing that Athreya was already in love with another woman and had to break up. The couple had no children and had some family issues post marriage as well. There was even a buzz that because of his failed love affair, Athreya never looked after her properly. But, Padmavati told in a recent interview that he was always good to her and the biggest reason for their distance was fate.
