You tend to gain some amount of inspiration when you look at some heroes onscreen but you get your real share of inspiration when you see some real life heroes. Things get interesting when the life of such real life men are shown on celluloid with the required dose of drama and added emotional quotient.
The eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma has decided to do that now in his next project titled as Rai. This is the story of the Karnataka based gangster Mutthappa Rai who was also an aide to Dawood Ibrahim. Rai is attributed to bringing the gun culture to the state of Karnataka and was involved in key killings of his rivals.
Fondly called as ‘Appa’ by his close ones, Mutthappa ruled the roost during the 80s and 90s after killing big dons like M P Jayaraj and Oil Kumar. Later on, he was extradited from Dubai through the help of Interpol. Today, Rai has renounced that life and is doing his best to the society. Further details can be known through the movie.
