The beautiful and optimistic multi starrer Oopiri featuring Nagarjuna and Karthi in lead roles might have earned the best critical acclaim in recent times but as far as business is concerned, the film is facing some troubles.
Sources say that the only source for film’s revenue is from A centers and overseas and it is not doing so well in B and C centers which opt for mass content. The production house PVP cinemas released it by themselves despite getting a fancy amount.
The film was released with an advance amount of 22 crores and now the biggest deciding factor would be the satellite rights. As per the buzz, the satellite rights in Telugu and Tamil are ranging at 6 crore each and this would lead to a return of 40 crores in both the languages.
This means that Oopiri will be getting a decent break even instead of a thumping profit and would miss the clutches of loss by a fraction.
