SS Rajamouli has reached the topmost league of directors in Tollywood with his last offering Baahubali: The Beginning. The film was not only a technical marvel but also quite successful in the business front. Many trade pundits opined that the perfect marketing model for the film also helped it get such overwhelming returns.
Now, the director is currently filming for the anticipated second installment Baahubali: The Conclusion which is scheduled to release in April 2017. The strategic Rajamouli is already contemplating on how to approach this film in the business front for Baahubali: The Beginning, the returns were divided equally between distributors and the producer. But the clever distributors showed less returns and gave a lesser share for the producers.
This is making Rajamouli to think whether he should sell the entire rights for a big production house or follow the sharing basis. With the tremendous hype created by the first installment, the second film will sure get much more interesting deals. However as per the latest speculations, a big production house from north eyeing for the rights of Baahubali: The Conclusion and we need to wait and see how Rajamouli & Co will deal with this.
