When you switch on certain Hindi movie channels you will not be surprised to see some of our own Telugu movies coming in dubbed version. The titles chosen for such movies are downright hilarious. Anyhow, the trend is changing and films are having simultaneous release in both languages.
The one film which has grabbed attention in the north also is Sardaar Gabbar Singh. The reason being, the makers are releasing it across 800 screens in Hindi version. The film is being pushed by the famous Eros banner and it is heard that there is a calculation behind this release strategy.
Talk is that the north Indian crowds are yet to come out of the Baahubali hangover so they are expecting high on Telugu big star flicks. Baahubali came in nearly 1200 to 1500 screens in Hindi so the Hindi version makers are anticipating that at least half that count of theatres would suffice big collections. Let us see what happens.
