Run is an upcoming action entertainer starring Sundeep Kishan and Anisha Ambrose in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Sai Karthik and here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:
The racy album begins with Bhago Bhago with 80s style action rhythms blended with local drums and equipped with Ranjith’s wonderful vocals. Balaji’s lyrics are high on energy levels and the overall impact of the song is quite impressive. Despite the de-ja-vu of his older compositions, the song manages to create a cool ambience.
Amulya is a trendy number sung by Sai Charan and the trance like beats suit the song perfectly. The poetic lyrics by Balaji also work wonders for this peppy number. One can hear neat treble work in the background which creates a blissful effect. However, the song is somewhat short in duration compared to regular Telugu film duets.
The album hits an abrupt finale with Bujji Konda penned by Rama Jogayya Sastry and performed by the wonderfully talented Yazin Nazir. The unplugged styled guitars and mild piano touches add more vigor to this number. Yazin’s husky vocals give the song a new kick altogether. The interludes have a great fusion of carnatic violin and live drumming.
Verdict:
Run is a fair album from Sai Karthik. However, the album is quite less in duration compared to commercial Telugu albums and misses the dose of mass appeal.
