As the boss of a very powerful and wealthy banner, you would want to produce films that cater to the budget of 30 to 40 crores plus but one man chose otherwise. He is none other than Potluri Prasad, the owner of PVP banner. Recently, he came up with a very small budget film.
We are talking about the movie Kshanam which was made at a shoestring budget of 1.1 crores. The film became a blockbuster hit and raked in huge collections. While that is a matter to rejoice, here is the interesting bit. PVP is now preparing to release its next project which is a bilingual.
We are talking about the film Oopiri featuring ‘King’ Akkineni Nagarjuna, the sharp eyed Tamil star Karthi and the milky white beauty Tamannaah. Point is, PVP has reportedly spent a whopping 60 crores on this bilingual. What remains to be seen is whether he would be able to recover his investment or not. The film releases on March 25.
