Few days back, Tamil Superstar Suriya feasted his fans with his upcoming sci-fi thriller 24 movie trailer. The film is slated for a summer release and the demand for its theatrical release in Telugu market has already crescendoed.
Given the hype over the film, producers of the Tamil version 2D Entertainment & Studio Green Pictures are quoting a staggering amount of Rs 28Cr for its overall Telugu version rights, as per latest reports. Nithiin’s ace production and distribution house Shreshth movies is already in the picture and the deal isn’t finalized yet.
Compared to the other Tamil heroes, Suriya relatively adorns good market value in Telugu as well and director Vikram K Kumar has already given two blockbusters (Manam & Ishq) in Telugu. The film features lucky charms Samantha & Nithya Menen in the lead roles with music by the legendary AR Rahman. Though Suriya’s previous outing Rakshasudu didn’t fare well, there is however, a positive vibe and buzz over 24 movie.
Now we need wait and see how Shresht productions shall negotiate this out! It is also to be seen how can 24 movie manage a grand release amidst releases like Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Sarrainodu & Brahmotsavam.
