In what can be called a shocking unfortunate event, a female Telugu TV anchor has been assaulted by a foreigner in the city.
Going into the details, a newsreader named Siva Jyothi was reportedly assaulted by a Syrian nationalist named Ab Faayif this afternoon. The anchor was travelling with her husband when the Syrian honked at them to make way for him. Since the road was jam-packed, the anchor asked him to wait, a conversation that eventually turned into a brawl. The Syrian has reportedly abused and later attacked the anchor and her husband who tried to rescue her.
Meanwhile public around them intervened, caught hold of the Syrian and handed him over to the police who quickly rushed to the spot.
