South Indian cinema has lost yet another jewel in its crown. Supremely talented Malyalam actor Kalabhavan Mani is no more.
Going into the details, versatile artiste Kalabhavan Mani (45) breathed his last a while ago at a private hospital in Kochi. He was admitted in hospital due to a severe liver ailment and is undergoing treatment as well.
He started off as an auto driver and being a mimicry artiste & folk singer from childhood drove him towards cinema. He has acted in over 200 films across all South Indian languages and got a break in Telugu films with his versatile performance in Venkatesh’s Gemini movie.
He was quite active in Kerala Politics and a staunch supporter of CPM in Kerala. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
