Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is going through a rough patch with controversies regarding comments on Intolerance and recent debacle Dilwale. Sadly, now the actor has yet another legal headache to deal with. SRK’s upcoming Raees movie has been issued legal notices.
Going into the details, SRK will be seen as gangster Abdul Lateef (who does illegal liquor trading in Gujarat during the alcohol prohibition period in the 1990s) in Raees movie. Now Lateef’s son Mushtaq Lateef sent legal notices to SRK alleging that his father is being shown in a demeaning way in the movie. Along with SRK, legal notices were sent to actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, producer Riteish Sidhwani and director Rahul Dholakia as well.
Legal headaches are quite common for big ticket films which will mostly end up as off-court settlements. But we will have to wait and see how SRK & Raees film unit would respond on this!
