Performances:
Satyam Rajesh: Wondering why this comedian made it to the top in this section? Well that’s the impact he created in the film. He was an absolute stunner as whacky yet committed cop Inspector Ravi Chowdary.
Adivi Sesh: He was indeed the chariot of the film. He was always an interesting actor and he once again brilliantly carried the entire film on his shoulder.
Adah Sharma: Forget the glam doll and meet actress Adah in this film. This able actress unleashes the ‘performer’ in her through this film.
Anasuya Bharadwaj: You might have seen just one shade of Anasuya so far. Check out the film, she has got a big surprise for you. Way long to go girl!
Vennela Kishore: He once again gave us a reason why he can be loved beyond a comedian. He plays yet another interesting yet endearing role as ‘Babu Khan Kala’ in the movie.
Satya: This Jyothi Lakshmi fame actor also manages to put an impressive show.
The rest of the cast has done their best to keep this suspense drama engaging.
Analysis:
Well we have to admit that we were one of the myriad who entered the theatre with miniscule expectations and a pinch of underestimation too but Kshanam totally surprised us!
You can talk volumes about the film that makes way into your heart but this is just a brief analytical piece about what and what did not left us impressed.
Adivi Sesh is popular as an actor but with Kshanam he proves his mettle beyond acting. He provided a robust story and director Ravikanth Pereru ably translated the script onto the screen. This suspense drama has its heart in the right place and intrigues us right from the word go. It is the characters and the drama that occupy you throughout rather than anything else. The water tight screenplay by Adivi Sesh & Ravikanth was indeed the heart of the film.
After a while through the first half, you would realize this is not a routine film you are going to enjoy and by the end of the first half, you are given the first surprise in the film. This will definitely leave you waiting for the second half that has the right twists, turns and some surprising yet engrossing performances that might leave you impressed. However, though the obvious climax and the crucial reason behind the entire suspense drama revealed in the climax is not fully convincing, the smart director has finished it off with an emotional touch.
Well in case you aren’t a big fan of off-beat entertainers, then this is certainly not your cup of tea/coffee/ whatever!
Merits:
Story & Screenplay
Performances of Sesh, Adah, Anasuya, Vennela Kishore & especially Satyam Rajesh

De-merits:
Lack of commercially entertaining ingredients.
Music:
Kshanam is not a typical commercial album but indeed has music that suits the story and back ground score that goes in brilliant sync with the film.
Others:
Abburi Ravi’s dialogues are precise and impactful.
Verdict:
Kshanam is an engaging suspense drama that can engross you. Certainly not a usual commercial entertainer we get to see every week but especially for those who wish to check out a different and interesting Telugu film worth your time.
