The handsome and fitness freak Rana Daggubati has planned his career with great care and perfection ever since he debuted with Sekhar Kammula’s Leader. He also ventured into Bollywood with impressive films like Dum Maaro Dum, Baby opposite biggies like Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar etc.
But the real breakthrough came when Rana played the role of Bhallala Deva to masterful perfection in Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning. While the actor is busy with the second installment of Baahubali, he kept doing films like Bangalore Naatkal etc and he has yet another interesting project in the pipeline titled Ghazi- India’s first submarine based film war film.
Rana is a qualified diver and it was a cakewalk for him to act in underwater sequences for this flick. Surprisingly, the actor was supposed to be underwater from morning 6AM till 2AM in the following night but he was determined to pull it off with ease. Rana also disclosed that since he gained weight for his role in Baahubali, he had to work on his agility and physical flexibility to tone down for Ghazi – such is his commitment!
This hard working actor is also interacting with real time naval officers to research for his role and with the help of his dad Suresh Babu he already interacted with officers who were present in the INS Vikrant mission- on which the film is based on! Hope the hardship of Rana & Team Ghazi pays off.
