The youngest Akkineni hero Akhil has planned everything perfectly for his debut film Akhil and was very sure about the stupendous success. Though Akhil’s dance moves and acting skills were appreciated by the critics, the film’s outcome disappointed the hero as well as Akkineni fans.

Now, the hero is quite careful about choosing his second film as it would be crucial for his footing in the film industry. There was an initial buzz that Akhil gave a nod for the remake of Bollywood blockbuster Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (starring Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone) but now, the news of this remake is officially on cards!

Director is yet to be finalized for this prestigious project. Surprisingly, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions owns the remake rights of this film but they are not willing to sell it for a Telugu remake. However another buzz says that Akkineni’s home production Annapurna Studios will tie up with Dharma Productions to make it as a joint venture.

It is a smart move by Akhil to remake a blockbuster but given the nature of the film, we need to see if it works in favor of the commercial expectations over Akhil.
